Valerie alerted everyone on the football field as she ran past them. The Best-Friend Triathlon was coming up, and the town of Danville was practicing with enthusiasm. Tony and Valerie were meeting up, and Valerie apologized for her lateness, explaining that she had to bathe her dog, Hazel. Tony informed her that the obstacle course was ready and set up. Valerie was excited about the frisbee toss and high jump, but she was most looking forward to the two-person pogo stick race. Suddenly, Tony's rival, Devin, and his brother, Phill, arrived on their pogo sticks, taunting Tony and Valerie. In response, Valerie and Tony started practicing their bouncing, determined to win. Tony suddenly smelled something delicious and realized that Valerie's new shampoo, which smelled like cookie dough, was the source of the smell. Tony attempted a triple flip on his pogo stick, but he was interrupted by a sudden sneeze that caused him to fly off and collide with a nearby tree. Concerned for his well-being
Tony asked, "What should we do today?" to which Valerie replied, "I'm not sure." However, Tony had an idea and suggested they go to his father's workshop. They were joined by Tony's siblings Pj, Jasmine, and Valerie's little sister Melody, as well as his friends Valerie, Clarissa, and Breanna. Tony used an electronic lock to gain access to the workshop. As they approached a machine resembling a chamber with wires protruding from the sides, Tony pointed out a control panel next to it. The control panel had various buttons with different animal silhouettes. "So, what does it do?" Clarissa inquired with a raised eyebrow. "Well... I don't know," Tony replied. Valerie called dibs on the first turn and headed to the control panel, selecting the button with the Foxhound terrier. She then made her way into the chamber, closed the door, and transformed into a small foxhound terrier puppy with a bright green coat, brown socks, and brown-tipped ears. "Pick me next!" shouted Melody eagerly.
